Every hair type is different and may take some time to figure out which oil is best for your needs. If your hair consistently it will result in healthy, shiny and beautiful hair. A single application is a step in the right direction, but be patient to see results. A weekly application that forms part of your self-care routine will make the process more enjoyable.

Sweet almond oil can be used to promote hair growth, reduce split ends of hair, treat dandruff and reduce scalp inflammation. Sweet almond oil can also be used as a shine-enhancer or leave-in conditioner. It is also ideal for those with slow-growing hair and protects against hair loss and breakage.

Argan oil can be used to lubricate the hair shaft and help maintain moisture. Argan oil is also help reduce fizziness and boost shine. Argan oil protects against colouring or styling damage and can helps reduce breakage and hair loss. Argan oil is ideal for hair that tends to get greasy. It also works  for dry, brittle, frizzy or coarse hair.

Jojoba oil moisturises hair, prevents dandruff and dry scalp and makes hair soft and shiny. Jojoba oil is ideal for dry, damaged or dull hair and those with dandruff and dry scalp.

Baobab oil can be used to prevent or treat dandruff and skin flaking. Baobab oil is rich in mega-3 fatty acid and can help to moisturise dry hair and strengthen weak, brittle hair. Baobab oil is not high in protein so it not recommended to repair damaged hair.

Marula oil can be used to repair damaged hair and prevents split ends, reduces frizz and promotes a healthy scalp.

Mafura Butter has nourishing and restructuring properties and it promotes more manageable hair as the high fat content restores hair elasticity and softens hair cuticles. Excellent for the hair and scalp as a pre-conditioner hair treatment.

As with a skincare routine, taking care of your hair needs consistency, patience and time to see results. Making a habit of oiling your hair weekly can absolutely make a difference to the health of your hair. If you have missed my blog post you can find out more here on how to oil your hair.
