When formulating this petroleum-free jelly, my goal was to create a plant-based alternative that supports the skin’s natural barrier without relying on mineral oils or petrochemicals. Instead of occluding the skin, this formula is designed to help reduce moisture loss while remaining gentle and breathable.

I selected a minimal combination of plant-derived oils and waxes that work together to protect dry and sensitive skin, while remaining suitable for everyday use — including on baby skin. This jelly reflects a formulation philosophy grounded in skin barrier science, simplicity, and respect for the skin’s natural function.
