Founder of Nirvana Natural Bliss

Dr.Pillay is the founder and formulator of Nirvana Natural Bliss, a South African science-led skincare brand developed around evidence-based formulation, skin biology and ingredient purpose.

The company began from her personal search for skincare that offered the scientific integrity she expected as a scientist and the care she wanted as a mother.

Her contribution to the beauty industry has included serving as a judge for the 2020 Woman & Home Beauty Awards.

Creator of Diary of a Neuroscientist

Dr.Pillay is also the creator of Diary of a Neuroscientist, a science-education platform that makes neuroscience practical and understandable for everyday life.

Through her writing, videos and The Neuroscientist’s Prescription™ newsletter, she explores how the brain shapes stress, attention, habits, decision-making, leadership, parenting and mental resilience.

Keynote Speaker

Dr.Pillay speaks on neuroscience, mental clarity, leadership, resilience and the challenges of the modern brain.

In 2026, she was invited to deliver a keynote at Amazon South Africa on moving from mental load to mental clarity.

Across her work as a scientist, founder and speaker, her purpose remains the same: to translate complex science into knowledge people can use.

Evidence should not remain in laboratories and academic journals. It should help people live, think and choose more clearly.
